La Cadena Psych - Children

about

La Cadena Psych is live progressive rock that drinks from symphonic rock, psychedelia, 70s hard rock and even stoner. Ahlè, Siul, Chicho, Gato & Octavicus get on stage guiding the audience in a lysergic trip that runs through spooky and explosive moments, even poetically calm ones, all of them supported by projected visuals that facilitate the ride. Among countless influences, we could mention Yes, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Triana, Tool or Melvins. In November 2016 they published Spideral, an EP recorded live in studio that includes six original cuts, being the last one an improvised jam session. In October 2018 comes out Hope?, a conceptual suite that alludes to topics as existentialism, unease due to our apathy about society, hope on education or the power of authenticity as opposed to what has been corrupted. And now, they are immersed in the composition of a new album, to be published next year.

"Stunningly beautiful at times, rocking and raucous at others, Hope? is an album that delivers on its title, giving hope to those that believe good, well played intelligent music will always rise to the top and be noticed not only for its technical prowess, but also for its emotional impact."

lyrics

Shut away
Another war
Shut alone
What is it for?
Let me know
End the show
Another moan
Another goad
Shut alone
In my muffled roar
Shut away
Stop the throe
Change the course
Sight the shore
Before i fall
Overboard

Let’s start planting forests of hearts
Let us go far, let’s grow art
Find a pure dimension
I have seen a circle in spiral
Inspiring something about to be born
Still remains the brains’ rain
Falling on shallow waters to rise so high
If you’re not blind, let’s sight the end of all delusion
We’ve something to claim
Let children be our stars

Shut away
Shut alone
Another way
Another door
I’m fucking bored
Shut alone
Help me grow
Take another road
I don’t know
Where i go
Stop that throe
If i fall
Let me know
I won’t go
Wouldn’ float?

Still remains the brains’ rain
Falling on shallow waters to rise so high
If you’re not blind, let’s sight the end of all delusion
We’ve something to claim
Let children illuminate the dark
